Three adults and one juvenile have been charged in connection with a robbery that occurred earlier this month at an apartment complex in Northwest Peoria. The adult suspects, Marcus C. King, 19, Roget J. Caige, 20, and Tramerreon M. Blakes, 19, were charged on June 12 with two counts of aggravated robbery. They are being held in custody until their trial.

The juvenile suspect, a 17-year-old male, was charged today with two counts of armed robbery. There is also a motion to transfer his case to adult court. He will remain in custody as well.

The incident took place on the afternoon of June 7 when the victim was texting the juvenile to arrange a sale of items. As the victim and a friend left their apartment building, they observed three defendants exit a vehicle and put on ski masks while the driver stayed inside. The defendants approached the victims with handguns and stole several items such as shoes, belts, and jewelry before physically assaulting them by pistol-whipping.

The victims were able to identify all four defendants involved in the robbery. Two of the suspects were later found wearing stolen items from the incident. On Saturday, law enforcement apprehended the juvenile near Logan Park where officers discovered two handguns hidden nearby. In addition to robbery charges, he faces two counts of aggravated unlawful use of weapons.

The investigation is ongoing and authorities urge anyone with information about this incident to contact the Peoria Police Department at 309-673-4521.
