City of Chillicothe Human Resource Committee met July 21.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

1. Call to Order

Chairperson Semtner called the meeting to order at 4:30 pm.

2. Roll Call

Committee Member Patrick Semtner, Chair

Committee Member Courtney Gehrig, Alderperson

Any Others Present: Mike Hughes, Mayor

3. Public Comment

None

4. New Business

Part Time Employee Compensation

Recommending to Finance Committee an increase for Jerry Myers (Maintenance) from $22.00 per hour to $24.00 per hour (9% increase). Last raise was 05/01/2023. Effective July 28, 2025.

Elected Officials' Compensation

Recommending to Finance Committee an increase for Jill Byrnes (City Clerk) for her Cemetery Records Keeper duties from $9,000.00 annually to $9,500.00 annually. Effective July 28, 2025.

Recommending to Finance Committee an increase for Jill Byrnes (City Clerk), if re- elected, for her City Clerk duties from $13,300.00 annually to $17,000 annually. Effective after the next City Clerk election.

Recommending an increase for the position of Mayor. The only change to the ordinance would be where the mayor gets paid $100.00 for Chairing each City Council meeting (where he gets zero today for this). Effective after the next Mayoral election.

Elected Officials' Attendance - Council Meetings

Recommending a new form (ABSENCE OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETINGS) to start to be completed by all elected officials for each of their absences from council meetings (NEW POLICY). No change to the current city code.

Motion to adjourn made by Chairman Semtner and seconded by Alderperson Gehrig. Meeting adjourned at 4:54 pm
