Sidewalk removal has started at the northwest corner of Main Street and S.E. Jefferson Avenue, close to 101 S.E. Jefferson Avenue. The sidewalks at this intersection are now closed, and pedestrians are advised to cross at the next available intersection.

Work is also ongoing at other locations along Jefferson Avenue. At the northwest corner of Fayette Street and N.E. Jefferson Avenue, near 227 N.E. Jefferson Avenue, sidewalk work is nearly finished. Additionally, construction continues at the northwest corner of Hamilton Boulevard and N.E. Jefferson Avenue, near 125 N.E. Jefferson Avenue.

Pedestrians are reminded to use caution in these areas and to cross only at open intersections when sidewalks are closed.

On-street parking in affected areas is restricted as marked by signage. Drivers should look for unbagged meters indicating available parking spaces; if a meter is covered with a “No Parking” sign, parking there is not permitted.

More restrictions related to parking, lanes, and sidewalks will be announced as the Adams Street and Jefferson Avenue One-Way to Two-Way (OWTW) Conversion Project moves forward.

Drivers are urged to be aware of workers in these zones and observe no-parking signs. Exercising extra caution in these areas is recommended.
