New Berlin Village Board OKs Knights of Columbus liquor license for event

At a recent meeting, the New Berlin Village Board approved a liquor license sought by the Knights of Columbus for its upcoming Ducks Unlimited event March 12 at the fairgrounds.

The board also agreed to pay for Water and Sewer Superintendent Tim Bliss' hotel expenses and conference fees to attend the Rural Water Conference.

Trustee Joel Sander was approved for a six-year term on the South County Water Commission.

Other highlights included a presentation by Bill Henry on his proposal for New Berlin to take over care and owernship of the war memorial.

A Streets and Parks report indicates that residents are pleased with the improved drainage after city crews cleaned out the south ditch.
