The Peoria Public Works Department said it closed Manor Parkway at its west end through 2705 W. Manor Parkway on Tuesday to begin milling the road surface as part of a roadway improvement project.
The portion of Manor Parkway is expected to be closed for approximately three weeks for the project, which includes a new brick paver roadway and new sidewalks, curbs and gutters.
The Manor Parkway project is one of several residential roadway reconstruction projects being instituted as part of the Peoria City Council’s budget initiative last year to focus specifically on roadway infrastructure. .
Motorists should avoid Manor Parkway to avoid delays.
