Call to Order
Chairman Rand called the meeting to order at 3:32 p.m.
Approval of Minutes
A motion to approve the minutes of April 26, 2016 and May 9, 2016 was made by Mr. Baietto and
seconded by Mr. O'Neill. The motion carried.

Mr. Sorrel advised that the Metro Peoria Committee is scheduled to meet on Monday, June 6,
2016 at 4:00 p.m. in Conference Room 402 at the Courthouse.

Mr. Rothert advised that all loans are current.
CDAP/GAP/Macro/Other Loan Report

Mr. Rothert provided an update regarding operations of the Economic Development Department.
The following are a list of topics discussed:
Economic Development
? Met with a developer in the Warehouse District regarding potential County support
? Working with the City of Peoria on a "Start Up in Day" grant
? The EDC has indicated interest in utilizing GP Sourcelink as a regional tool to assist with
the start up of businesses, and is also working with the City of Peoria on the "Start Up in
Day" grant to help with funding.
? Met with the Greater Peoria EDC's new Rural Economic Development Coordinator
? Working with the EDC, Chamber of Commerce, CEO Council and Peoria Area Convention
and Visitors Bureau on a Buy Local Campaign. More detailed information on the
campaign is included in this month's committee packet.
? Route 24 Signalization Project is complete and the signals are live.
? Made presentation at a public meeting on Enterprise Zone and TIF Districts.
? Attended the Kansas City Federal Reserve Entrepreneurial Summit earlier this month.
? An update on Heartland Community Development Corporation will be presented at a
future meeting.

Resolution
A motion to approve was made by Mr. Baietto and seconded by Mr. Mayer. Mr. Mayer asked if
the Local Labor Market Area (LLMA) included in the committee packet is the one that was also
utilized for the 2014 Peoria Urban Enterprise Application, and Mr. Rothert advised in the
affirmative. Mr. Rothert commented that he spoke with every property owner that is being
removed from the Enterprise Zone, and all have confirmed that they have no concerns with being
removed. He also stated that added properties were chosen in consultation with community
leaders and stakeholders. The motion to approve carried.
