Havana FD responds to 13 fires in 2016

Havana Fire Department responded to 26 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the West Central Reporter.

The calls in Havana included 13 fires - nine structure fires, one vehicle fire and two other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $136,000 in fire loss - or about $10,462 per fire.

The department also received 13 false calls.
