Northern Tazewell Fire Protection District responded to 10 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the West Central Reporter.

The calls in Northern Tazewell included eight fires - six structure fires and two vehicle fires.

In all, the department saw $678,060 in fire loss - or about $84,758 per fire.

The department also received two false calls.

The calls resulted in two civilian fire-related injuries.
