James Bryson, who founded the New Millennium Institute, was honored with this year’s Pride in Peoria Award, the East Peoria Chamber of Commerce said in a release.
Bryson was recognized for developing a “job readiness boot-camp initiative” that helped train workers for employment opportunities at area businesses.
The annual Pride in Peoria Award honors “individuals, groups, or organizations that have made a significant contribution to improve the city of Peoria,” the release stated.
