New Business :
Public Safety Director Fairburn explained to the commission that he was served by the Fire Union with a grievance against the F&P Commission. Because the grievance deals with a decision made by the commission, it is out of Fairburn’s control, so he and Firefighter Deppermann are now re-filing it to the commission. The grievance deals with an issue brought up in previous meetings and discussions in regards to the Fire AC Promotional testing. The commission decided to look at the situation one last time, since they have a new commissioner to the board. They agreed that the timeline for the grievance would be extended to allow time for review of the scoring.
The Commission decided to enter into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing personnel. Firefighter Deppermann left the meeting. Roll Call: Commissioner Mayall – Aye. Commissioner Norton – Aye, Commissioner Gossett – Aye. All Ayes, the Commission entered Executive Session at 1:15 p.m.
At 1:42pm, the Commission returned to Open Session.
Having no other business, a Motion was made by Commissioner Norton seconded by Commissioner Gossett to adjourn the meeting. All Ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 1:42 p.m.
