Analysis: Bartonville pays $3.01 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Bartonville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 75.1 percent of the $275,011 the Bartonville Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.01 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Bartonville contributed $206,591 to the fund, which saw a $148,040 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $68,420, or 24.9 percent, in 2016.
