Analysis: Morton pays $4.15 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Morton Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 80.6 percent of the $798,954 the Morton Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.15 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Morton contributed $644,109 to the fund, which saw a $22,467 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $154,844, or 19.4 percent, in 2016. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
