City of Chillicothe Cemetery and Parks Committee met April 18.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

Chairman Connor called the meeting to order at 5:00pm

Present: Chairman Connor Alderman Jenkins

Alderman Gould

Also in attendance: Mayor White Clerk Hurd Alderman Sharp

Superintendent of Public Works, Shawn Sutherland

Office manager Denise Passage

Absent: None

City Clean Up Voucher Program:

Office manager Passage presented a copy of a voucher that ED Director Parker proposed to use for the program. Office Manager Passage explained the process that the office staff will use to pass out the vouchers. She asked that the committee to decide how many vouchers they would like to distribute. Discussion ensued. The consensus of the committee was to pass out 200 vouchers. Office Manager Passage asked questions on how Wigand will handle the vouchers they receive. Discussion ensued. Chairman Connor will call Wigand and confirm the process for handling the vouchers. Clerk Hurd asked if the program was for commercial and residential. Discussion ensued. It was the consensus of the committee to keep the program as residential only. Chairman Connor advised the committee how the program will be presented to the public. It was the consensus of the committee to seek council approval at the April 23, 2018 meeting.

Columbarium

Clerk Hurd presented the proposal from Shepherd Concrete for the remaining concrete work to be done around the columbarium. It was the consensus of the committee to seek council approval in the amount of $4950.00.

Right Tree/Right Place Grant Program

Chairman Connor reported that the application has been submitted.

Chairman Connor gave a report on the electronic recycle program that will be held April 22

Sycamore Trail Park:

Chairman Connor will have a report at the next meeting.

There being no further business, meeting adjourned at 5:36pm.
