Report: Princeville spent $9,764 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Princeville Community Unit School District 326 is up 9 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Peoria County school district spent $8,995 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,764 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 797 to 731.

Princeville's spending in 2016-17 was 25 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
