Report: Vit spent $11,158 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Vit Community Unit School District 2 is down 7 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Fulton County school district spent $12,040 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,158 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 373 to 362.

Vit's spending in 2016-17 was 14 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
