Report: Henry Senachwine spent $12,089 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Henry Senachwine Community Unit School District 5 is up 4 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Marshall County school district spent $11,603 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,089 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 624 to 582.

Henry Senachwine's spending in 2016-17 was 7 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
