Report: Limestone-Walters spent $8,713 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Limestone-Walters Community Consolidated School District 316 is up 12 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Peoria County school district spent $7,788 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,713 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 191 to 194.

Limestone-Walters's spending in 2016-17 was 33 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
