Report: Dunlap spent $8,471 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Dunlap Community Unit School District 323 is down 5 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Peoria County school district spent $8,947 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,471 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 4109 to 4565.

Dunlap's spending in 2016-17 was 35 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
