Report: East Peoria spent $11,449 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at East Peoria School District 86 is up 6 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Tazewell County school district spent $10,753 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,449 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1742 to 1623.

East Peoria's spending in 2016-17 was 12 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
