Report: Norwood spent $7,944 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Norwood Elementary School District 63 is up 4 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Peoria County school district spent $7,640 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $7,944 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 471 to 428.

Norwood's spending in 2016-17 was 39 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
