How much has Deer Creek-Mackinaw CUSD 701 overspent over the past 10 years?

Spending and revenue data obtained for this analysis comes from the Illinois Local Education Agency Retrieval Network (ILEARN), which is part of the Illinois State Board of Education and collects data annually on school district financials.

Over the 10-year span, Deer Creek-Mackinaw CUSD 701 reported 16.7 percent more revenue. At the same time, total spending went up 2 percent. The resulting deficit grew by 94.4 percent from 2008 to 2017.
