City of Lexington issued the following announcement on Aug. 6.
The City's Yard Waste Cart Program is entering its second phase.Yard Waste Graphic Thursday's collection day will be the next to receive the carts, which are scheduled to be delivered August 7-August 31. Once delivered, yard waste will be collected on weekly pickup days. Yard waste will not be collected if the rollout is not properly utilized. A flyer explaining more will be attached to the carts.
The Yard Waste Cart Program is another way to beautify the city, protect storm drains and provide citizens with a convenient way to dispose of yard waste. Seasonal leaf collection is not affected by this new program.
