City of East Peoria issued the following announcement on Aug. 13.
Residents can safely dispose of unwanted or expired medications in the drug drop box in front of the Public Safety Building, 201 W. Washington St. The box is a re-purposed mailbox and it is monitored by cameras. Medicines placed in the box will be incinerated.
