Brimfield Public Library District Board met July 16.
Here is the minutes provided by the Board:
Call to Order – Jon Davis called the regular meeting of the Brimfield Public Library Board of Trustees to order
Roll Call – Jon Davis took Roll Call with the following members present: Holly More, Pam Fabish, Tara Blundy, Shirley Sollenberger, and Director Patti Smith
Public Comment – None
Special Order - The Budget & Appropriation Hearing was opened at 6:35pm
Secretary’s Report – Holly More made a motion to approve minutes from the June meeting. Tara Blundy seconded; motion carried
Treasurer’s Report – Shirley Sollenberger made a motion to approve the June Financial Report. Holly More seconded; motion carried
Pam Fabish made a motion to approve the July Bills. Shirley Sollenberger seconded; motion carried
Jon Davis closed the Budget & Appropriation hearing at 6:49pm
Holly More motioned to approve the Budget & Appropriation Ordinance, Pam Fabish seconded, motion carried
Director’s Report – Patti Smith presented the Director’s report.
The Library has transitioned from Media Com to MidCentury Communications for phone and Internet service. MidCentury provides service through fiber, and we will see a cost savings of over $100/month
Shirley Sollenberger motioned to approve staff raises as presented by Patti, Holly More seconded, motioned carried
Patti will provide the Board with a list of employee’s names and job titles as we have added several new staff members
Patti talked about her retirement, and said she will give the Board at least a 30 day notice. Cheryl Harlow the Assistant Director is in place and ready to take over as Interim Director during the Director search.
Unfinished Business – We are still waiting for two building projects to be started; the new roof shingles, and the new emergency exit door in the Kid’s Room
Adjournment – Holly More made a motion to adjourn. Shirley Sollenberger seconded; motion carried
