City of East Peoria issued the following announcement on Jan. 12.
Due to the coming snow storm, Public Works has announced a parking ban on all city streets starting at 10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, remaining in effect until further notice. Vehicle towing will be at the owner's expense. Snow removal crews will clear primary routes until snow has stopped falling. After primary routes are clear, crews will begin clearing secondary routes.
Depending on weather and snow accumulations, it is estimated that all roadways will be passible by Monday morning, Jan. 14.
