Water main break closes Airport Road; repairs expected through October 27

Illinois American Water has reported a water main break on Airport Road, about a quarter mile south of Dietrich Lane. Both northbound and southbound lanes of Airport Road are currently closed at this location.

According to Illinois American Water, "The northbound lanes are expected to reopen by the end of today, October 22." The company also stated, "The southbound lanes will remain closed for repairs. Illinois American Water expects the southbound lanes of Airport Road to reopen on Monday, Oct. 27. A detour route will be posted on S. Lafayette Ave."
