Report: Limestone-Walters spent $8,731 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Limestone-Walters Community Consolidated School District 316 is up 8.2 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Peoria County school district spent $8,067 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,731 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 184 to 196.

Limestone-Walters's spending in 2017-18 was 34.5 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
