Report: Delavan spent $10,817 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Delavan Community Unit School District 703 is up 3.8 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Tazewell County school district spent $10,420 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,817 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 464 to 472.

Delavan's spending in 2017-18 was 18.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
