Report: East Peoria spent $15,981 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at East Peoria Community High School District 309 is up 18.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Tazewell County school district spent $13,511 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $15,981 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1100 to 988.

East Peoria's spending in 2017-18 was 19.8 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
