Report: East Peoria spent $11,178 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at East Peoria School District 86 is up 5.6 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Tazewell County school district spent $10,585 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,178 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1703 to 1596.

East Peoria's spending in 2017-18 was 16.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
