Report: Elmwood spent $8,702 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Elmwood Community Unit School District 322 is down 4.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Peoria County school district spent $9,089 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,702 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 683 to 690.

Elmwood's spending in 2017-18 was 34.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
