Analysis: Midland administrators rank 717th in state for average pay

Administrators in Midland Community Unit School District 7 earn an average of $83,964 per year, ranking 717th out of 864 districts in the state, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 17.8% higher than in 2014 and 8.1% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 21.7% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Marshall County school district enrolled 708 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 177 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
