Canton City issued the following announcement on March 22.
Spoon River College - Phi Theta Kappa members are asking for help in filling Purses of Hope for women (and their children) going into shelters. They are often fleeing abusive situations and don’t have the chance to take anything with them. A drop-off box will be outside of Becca Werland’s office in Taylor Hall (Canton Campus) through the end of March. Donations can also be dropped off at the VFW in Lewistown and the YWCA in Canton. Please read the flyer for a list of the most needed items, as well as additional drop-off sites.
