South Pekin home prices fall in the third quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2018 in South Pekin fell by $21,550 while total sales increased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2018, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $49,950 - a 30.1% decrease over the $71,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in South Pekin in the third quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in South Pekin for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $1,314.50, approximately 2.6% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2018.
