City of East Peoria issued the following announcement on April 8.
Here is the chance to dispose of unwanted electronic items in an environmentally friendly way. The Tazewell County Health Department will have an electronic recycling event at the Festival Building, 2200 E. Washington St. from 8 a.m. until noon Saturday, April 27.
Accepted items are:
Computers and small-scale servers
Computer monitors
Digital converter boxes, cable receivers and satellite receivers
DVD players, DVD recorders and VCRs
Electronic keyboards, electronic mice and portable digital music players
Printers, FAX machines and scanners
Televisions
Video game consoles
Fees are:
CRT monitors - $40
CRT TV - $20
Flat-screen TV - $20
Projection TV - $40
Console TV - $40
