El Paso home prices fall in 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in 2018 in El Paso fell by $16,000 while total sales decreased by 21.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2018, there were 41 homes sold, with a median sale price of $96,500 - a 14.2% decrease over the $112,500 median sale price for the previous year. There were 52 homes sold in El Paso in 2017.

The median sales tax in El Paso for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,568, approximately 2.7% of the median home sale price for 2018.
