The data shows that both of the released offenders in the Roanoke zip code were men. The younger parolee was a 25-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2017, and the other was a 32-year-old man convicted of a crime against a person in 2016.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was William Blunier. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2016, when he was 32 years old. He is now 34.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
