Illinois state Rep. Tom Bennett’s (R-Pontiac) goodwill tour through his district is picking up steam.
“I am donating my pay raise each month to a 501(c3) group in the district,” Bennett said in a post to Instagram. “Tonight my check goes to Rick Ertel, Manager of the Gibson City Area Food Pantry.”
Bennett went on to refer to Gibson City Food Pantry as a “well-oiled machine," thanking Ertel and his staff for all they do to make the facility a staple in the community by “reaching out to help others.”
Bennett's 106th District includes all or parts of Ford, Iroquois, Vermillion, Livingston and Woodford counties.
