Pekin (Tazewell County) home prices rise in the second quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2019 in Pekin in Tazewell County rose by $4,000 while total sales decreased by 8.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2019, there were 155 homes sold, with a median sale price of $89,000 - a 4.7% increase over the $85,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 169 homes sold in Pekin in the second quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Pekin for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $2,016, approximately 2.3% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2019.
