South Pekin home prices rise in the third quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2019 in South Pekin rose by $18,050 while total sales decreased by 16.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2019, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $68,000 - a 36.1% increase over the $49,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in South Pekin in the third quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in South Pekin for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $1,328, approximately 2% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2019.
