Canton City issued the following announcement on April 24.
Due to Governor Pritzker's announcement on 4-23-20, Canton Lake is now open to boat fishing. Boats will be limited to two occupants. Boat sticker requirements will be waived for now, until such time as the Canton Lake Campground reopens.
All local and State regulations will apply, and fishing limits are as posted on sight. Please park in the pull-off areas and practice social distancing as a precautionary measure to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Canton Lake Campground remains closed, pending improvement in the COVID-19 crisis.
