City of Chillicothe Economic Development Committee met May 1.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m.

BUDGET Budget reflected Owens and Tobin Payouts on TIF projects. Help Loans indicated Barks N Bubbles payout.

Bananas Scott Crawford presented three proposals for TIF and Help Loan Request for the purchase and renovation of Bananas. Committee requested he start with what is TIF eligible and rework his proposal. Sandy Levell requested clarification on property being two parcels of land.

NEW BUSINESS

Mayor reported meeting with attorney to review Help Loan payment notice and Help Loan Late payment notice, create a plan to move the expiring TIF money and to create a TIF application.

OLD BUSINESS:

OSF Project: Alley agreement approved by Council. Next step is attorney letter to be sent out to local residents.

CEFCU & 616 4th /Street Video Billboard Update: Phase I gas link completed and construction to start in June.

TIF Request – Heathers Wine Nook: Meeting scheduled with Dennis.

TIF Request – Little Shop of Hoarders Update: Calahan is working to reduce is inventory and empty the building. Plans for Little Shop of Hoarders move will be in fall.

3 Diamond Update: State to approve in June. Awaiting possible project approval for funding.

M & T Update: Subcommittee has been established to progress forward.

ODG Brranding Update: Subcommittee formed to fact gather before meeting with Sarah.
