Analysis: Eureka pays $2.98 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Eureka Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 74.9 percent of the $111,524 the Eureka Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.98 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Eureka contributed $83,554 to the fund, which saw a $11,618 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $27,970, or 25.1 percent, in 2018.
