The bid opening took place on July 6, 2020 and the bid tabs were distributed for review. The recommendation from Maurer & Stutz is as follows:
• Award Crack Rout and Seal Work to Complete Asphalt Service Company for their bid of $23,950.00
• Award Spray Patching Work to Ace in The Hole for their bid of $42,456.00
• Reject bid for Seal Coat Work from IRC Inc. Their bid was 37.8% over the engineer's estimate. This work can be done next year hopefully along with additional quantity. Hopefully bidding earlier with larger quantities will bring the unit prices down. The pavement remarking on 15th Avenue after it is seal coated can also be deferred to next year.

• Award Miscellaneous Concrete Work to Illinois Civil Contractors Inc. for their bid of $49,819.00 even though their bid was 6.2% over the engineer's estimate.
