Cost of college went up for all students at Oehrlein School of Cosmetology

Tuition and fees rose 2.9 percent for 2018-19 at Oehrlein School of Cosmetology, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $15,900 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $450 more than the $15,450 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 69 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 22 students received grants or scholarships totaling $71,500 and 19 students took out student loans totaling more than $97,785.

Including all undergraduates (47), 44 students used grants or scholarships totaling $155,898, and 24 students took out $126,502 in federal student loans.
