As of September 1, there have been 117 Tazewell County residents in their sixties who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

There have been 5,992 residents in their sixties in the county who had been tested, meaning that two percent of those tested have the coronavirus. Through September 1, there have been 1,109 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 10 deaths from the coronavirus in Tazewell County.
