Brimfield Fire Protection Department responded to 76 calls in 2018 - 111.1 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Brimfield included 51 fires - 14 structure fires, 13 vehicle fires and 24 other fires.

In all, the department saw $350,500 in fire loss - or about $6,873 per fire.

The department also received 25 false calls, including six malicious calls and 19 other false calls.

The Brimfield Fire Protection Department had an annual budget of $443,382 in 2017.
