City of Atlanta issued the following announcement on Dec. 23.

Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms reissued Executive Orders to assist Atlanta residents and businesses during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

An Executive Order was reissued to institute a moratorium on residential evictions and filings in sponsored and funded housing units and housing developments, through March 31, 2021. Mayor Bottoms reissued Orders to extend a directive to the Commissioner of Watershed Management to refrain from taking any action which would result in the termination of water services for any Watershed Management customer due to non-payment through January 31, 2021.

Another Executive Order directs the previously announced Hazard Pay Policy to remain in effect starting January 1, 2021, and continue on a month-to-month basis until:

an approved vaccine is readily available to front-line City of Atlanta employees; and/or

the City of Atlanta has resumed operation of services through the return of non-mission critical employees to the physical workplace.

An additional Order extends Mayor Bottoms’ directive that the City of Atlanta will continue to refrain from imposing any penalties against individuals or businesses who have unpaid taxes following the April 1, 2020 deadline, with the Order remaining effective through January 31, 2021.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Mayor Bottoms issued a series of Executive and Administrative Orders to minimize the impact of the virus on Atlanta residents and businesses. Those Orders can be viewed online here.
