City of Delavan issued the following announcement on Jan. 16.
The Delavan Police Department has received reports today of fraudulent emails being received posing as Delavan City Officials. These fraudulent emails have solicited information from those who receive the email in regards to opening lines of credit associated with city services. The City of Delavan is not associated with any efforts in asking members of the community for financial information as it related to these fraudulent activities. If you receive any email that you feel is questionable from a City Official please contact the Delavan Police Department for verification before responding or providing any personal information. You may contact the Delavan Police Department at 309-244-8226 with any questions or concerns.
