State Representative Travis Weaver (IL) | Representative Travis Weaver (R) 93rd District
Ethan Cain, a senior at Pekin Community High School, is the focus of this week's Intern Spotlight. He plans to pursue a major in Political Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign next fall. At PCHS, Ethan holds the position of Senior Class Vice President and is a varsity member of the Speech Team. Additionally, he served as the Student Director for Pekin's recent production of Dracula.
Ethan expressed his motivation for pursuing an internship by stating that it would provide him with valuable insights into government operations and policy development. "He enjoys the internship because he gets to engage with people in the community and understand more about policy development."
Beyond his academic pursuits, Ethan actively participates in assisting Life Skills classrooms at PCHS. He also enjoys traveling and spending time with friends.
